Spray foam insulation is applied directly onto surfaces, expanding to fill gaps and cracks, thereby creating a seamless insulating barrier. Pour-in-place foam is often used for filling cavities in walls or for creating custom shapes. Molded foam is produced by introducing the reacting chemicals into a mold to achieve a specific form.

Urethane foams offer a range of benefits, including thermal insulation, sound dampening, and lightweight structural support. However, like many chemical products, their production and disposal require careful consideration of environmental impacts. Manufacturers are increasingly developing more sustainable formulations and recycling methods for these materials.
