Purpose and use: It helps assess viability, guide decisions, and secure funding. A well prepared uppstartbudget provides a cash-flow forecast, a cost baseline, and a rough timeline for when funds are required. It also serves as a benchmark during the first months of activity.

Components: Common elements include one-time costs (licensing, equipment purchase, IT systems, facility setup), ongoing costs (rent, salaries, utilities, marketing, insurance), working capital (to cover day-to-day gaps), and capital expenditures.
