Típusalkotás is a concept in Hungarian epistemology that refers to the process of type-bounded rationality. It was introduced by Hungarian philosopher and sociologist Erzsébet Ammann in the 1990s to explain the inherent limitations of human cognition in recognizing patterns and making decisions.

Ammann's theory posits that all humans exhibit a tendency to categorize and classify experiences into distinct types, which in turn affect their perception and understanding of reality.
