Troglobiootteja, or troglobionts, are organisms that are permanently adapted to life in caves or other subterranean environments where they have never been exposed to surface conditions. These species have evolved unique physiological, morphological, and behavioral traits to thrive in the dark, stable environments of caves, often lacking eyes, pigmentation, and specialized adaptations for navigating or feeding in complete darkness.

Troglobionts are typically found in regions with extensive cave systems, such as parts of Europe, North America, Asia, and South America. Their adaptations often include reduced or absent eyes (anophthalmia), pale or colorless skin (leucism or albinism), elongated limbs, and enlarged sensory organs like antennae or whiskers.
