The central element of Tippoja is the annual Tippoja festival, a multi-day rite that marks the transition between seasons and commemorates the founding ancestors of the Tippoji people. Observances include processions, instrumental music, storytelling, and the weaving and exchange of reflective banners known as tippoja.
