A tilinpäätösrapportti, commonly translated as a financial statement report or year-end report, is a mandatory document for most companies in Finland. It provides a comprehensive overview of a company's financial performance and position over a specific accounting period, typically a fiscal year. The primary purpose of the tilinpäätösrapportti is to present a true and fair view of the company's financial standing to various stakeholders.

The report typically consists of several key components. These include the income statement (tulostuslaskelma), which details revenues, expenses, and profit or loss; the balance sheet (tase), which outlines assets, liabilities, and equity at a specific point in time; and the cash flow statement (rahoituslaskelma), which tracks the movement of cash in and out of the company. Additionally, it often includes notes to the financial statements (liitetiedot), which provide further explanations and details about the figures presented in the main statements.

Several parties rely on the tilinpäätösrapportti. These include shareholders, who use it to assess the company's profitability and value; creditors and lenders, who evaluate the company's ability to repay debts; tax authorities, for determining tax liabilities; and management, for internal decision-making and performance evaluation. In Finland, the preparation and submission of the tilinpäätösrapportti are governed by specific accounting legislation, primarily the Finnish Accounting Act (Kirjanpitolaki). Companies are required to file their reports with the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH).
