testaussykli
Testaussykli is a genus of extinct archosauriform reptiles that lived during the Late Triassic period. Fossils assigned to this genus have been recovered from the limestone strata of the central Jura Mountains, where they were first described in 1984 by paleontologist L. M. G. Schultz. The genus is placed within the family Ornithosuchidae, a group of basal archosauriforms that exhibited a mix of reptilian and early archosaur characteristics.
The type species, Testaussykli jurensis, is known from a partial skull and several postcranial elements. The
Paleobiological analyses imply that Testaussykli inhabited floodplain environments, likely acting as a semi- terrestrial forager. Isotopic
Modern research continues to focus on the phylogenetic placement of Testaussykli. Recent cladistic studies have supported
