temperamencies
Temperamencies refers to a system of classifying personality types based on four fundamental temperaments: choleric, melancholic, sanguine, and phlegmatic. This classification has roots in ancient Greek medicine, specifically the humoral theory, which posited that bodily fluids (humors) influenced personality. The choleric temperament is associated with being ambitious, energetic, and sometimes aggressive. The melancholic temperament is linked to being thoughtful, sensitive, and prone to introspection. The sanguine temperament is characterized by being optimistic, sociable, and outgoing. The phlegmatic temperament is described as being calm, peaceful, and easygoing.
While the original humoral theory is no longer scientifically accepted, the concept of temperaments has persisted
