Achieving uniform dispersions often relies on ultrasonication or high-shear mixing, along with surface modification of fillers using coupling agents or surfactants to improve compatibility and interfacial bonding.

Characterization techniques encompass microscopy (transmission and scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy) to assess dispersion and morphology; X-ray diffraction for crystallinity; thermal analysis (DSC, TGA) for stability; mechanical testing (DMA, nanoindentation); spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman); and optical or electrical measurements (UV-Vis, impedance).
