Tapetoidun is a term used in interior design and speculative architecture to denote a modular wall-covering system that fuses imagery, texture, and light interaction on indoor surfaces. A tapetoidun unit is a thin, flexible sheet made from recycled paper fibers bound in a biodegradable polymer, printed with high-resolution motifs, and mounted on walls with low-emission adhesive and removable fasteners.

The name combines tapet-, meaning wallpaper, with -oidun, a suffix from the fictional lexicon that marks a discrete module or unit. The concept emerged in contemporary design discourse as a way to describe updateable, image-rich surfaces that do not require repainting or replaced panels.

Characteristics include light weight, ease of handling, and recyclability. Panels support a range of finishes, from matte to subtle gloss, and can incorporate micro-embossing or lenticular-like textures to create depth with changing light.
