Suunisandmiku is a small inlet situated along the southwestern coast of Estonia, within the municipality of Pärnu. It is part of the Baltic Sea coastline and lies approximately ten kilometres north of the town of Pärnu. The name derives from Estonian words meaning “north” (suuri) and “sand” (sand) and refers to the sandy shoreline that characterises the area. The inlet is preceded by a narrow sandbar that extends into the sea, creating a shallow basin that is popular for swimming and sunbathing during the summer months.
