strålkodsläsare
Strålkodsläsare, often referred to as barcode scanners, are handheld or stationary devices used to capture and decode the information contained in a barcode. Barcodes are a visual representation of data, typically consisting of parallel lines of varying widths and spacing. These scanners employ a light source, often a laser or LED, to illuminate the barcode. A sensor within the scanner then detects the pattern of reflected light. The intensity of the reflected light varies depending on whether it encounters a black bar or a white space. This variation is then translated into a digital signal.
The process involves a decoder, which is either integrated into the scanner or exists as separate software.
