Standardtopologin is a proposed framework in topology that aims to provide a canonical approach for constructing and comparing topological structures across different mathematical contexts. It treats the standard topology on a set as a functorially assignable structure and seeks to unify various notions of openness, convergence, and continuity under a single formalism.

The framework introduces an operator, denoted S, that assigns to an object X in a chosen base category C a topological structure S(X). For a morphism f: X → Y, S is designed so that f is continuous precisely when it respects the standard neighborhoods defined by S. This functorial perspective emphasizes coherence with maps, products, and subobjects.

In simple instances, such as sets equipped with no extra pretopological data, S(X) may recover familiar extreme cases like the indiscrete or discrete topologies. When additional convergence or pretopological data are supplied, S(X) recovers ordinary topologies of standard examples (for instance, the usual topology on the real line).

Standardtopologin is intended as a unifying lens rather than a replacement for classical topology. It is related to, but distinct from, traditional constructions such as Alexandrov topologies, locale theory, and convergence-space approaches; it emphasizes a categorical, functorial viewpoint on standard notions of continuity.
