Späckhuggare, scientifically known as Orcinus orca, are toothed whales belonging to the oceanic dolphin family. They are also commonly referred to as killer whales. Späckhuggare are the largest members of the dolphin family and are found in all the world's oceans, from the Arctic to the Antarctic. They are easily recognizable by their distinctive black-and-white coloration. Males typically grow larger than females, with adult males reaching lengths of up to 9 meters and weighing over 6,000 kilograms. Females are generally smaller, reaching lengths of up to 8.5 meters and weighing around 3,000 kilograms.
