Specifikues is the Albanian term for specifications, referring to the documents that define the requirements and constraints for a product, service, or system. A specifikues is a formal description of what must be delivered, how it should perform, and under which conditions it must operate. It aims to be clear, comprehensive, and verifiable, enabling stakeholders to agree on scope, design, testing, and acceptance.

Common elements include the scope of work, functional requirements, technical or non-functional requirements, performance criteria, interfaces and interoperability, materials and standards, quality and safety constraints, testing methods, and acceptance criteria. There are different types of specifications, such as functional specifications describing expected behavior, technical specifications detailing implementation constraints, and interface specifications defining how components interact.

Specifikues are created during requirements engineering and project planning, often by engineers, designers, procurement officers, and end users. They are typically versioned, reviewed, and approved, and used as the basis for design, development, procurement contracts, and verification activities. Compliance with the specifikues is tested through validation and acceptance processes.

Standards bodies and industry practices influence the form and content of specifikues, with references to ISO, IEC, IEEE, ASTM or other relevant standards. Poorly written specifikues—ambiguous, incomplete, or untestable—can lead to scope creep and project delays.
