Sobreyectiva is a neologism that appears in contemporary discourse to describe a stance or mode of reasoning in which evaluative judgments are presented as objective while being shaped by subjective factors such as personal experience, social position, or cultural norms. The term is not widely standardized or recognized in formal linguistic or philosophical dictionaries and tends to circulate in online essays, commentary, and speculative theory rather than in peer-reviewed scholarship.

Etymology and usage are provisional. Sobreyectiva is modeled on the Spanish terms sobre (over, above) and subyectiva (subjective), in contrast to subjetiva or objetiva. The construction suggests a paradox: an attempt at objectivity that is simultaneously saturated by subjectivity. In practice, authors use sobreyectiva to flag that a claim about facts, values, or interpretations rests partly on particular vantage points, while still aiming to present a broader, reasoned assessment.

In discourse, the concept is often invoked to critique or analyze how individuals or institutions present information. For example, a media critique might describe a report as sobreyectiva if it foregrounds certain experiences while implying universality, or a philosophical argument might use the term to discuss how normative commitments influence supposedly neutral reasoning. Critics of the term argue that without clear criteria, sobreyectiva risks becoming a vague label for bias rather than a productive analytical category.
