Slipmatch, also spelled slip-match, is a term used in fabric cutting and pattern matching to describe a method where the repeating design on a fabric is aligned between panels with a deliberate offset rather than being matched exactly at the seam. The aim is to create an overall fabric appearance with a consistent motif while minimizing fabric waste and allowing simpler production.
