Sitovalle is a town and municipality in the Sitovalle Valley, a rural region in the northern part of Veridia. It functions as the administrative center of the surrounding municipality and serves as a local hub for agriculture, small industry, and services. The population is around 8,000 residents, with a mix of families, artisans, and commuters who work in nearby towns.

The town sits on the valley floor near the Sitovalle River, surrounded by gentle hills. Elevation ranges from 140 to 180 meters above sea level. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters; average annual rainfall about 650–750 mm, concentrated in spring and autumn. Soils are fertile, supporting orchards and vineyards.

Sitovalle originated in the 14th century as an agricultural settlement and grew with regional trade routes in the 17th to 19th centuries. It remained largely rural until postwar modernization, with formal municipality status established in 1863. The late 20th century saw diversification into light manufacturing and food processing.

Agriculture remains central, especially apples and wine grapes, along with small-scale manufacturing and services. The town supports a market hall, a cooperative, and several family-run businesses. Transportation relies on regional roads and bus services; the nearest railway station lies several kilometers away, and there is no local airport.

Cultural life centers on the annual harvest festival and the historic parish church of St. Michael. The old town square preserves traditional architecture. Education includes two primary schools and a secondary school; a public library and a health center serve residents.
