sidoglidsförkastningar
Sidoglidsförkastningar, also known as strike-slip faults, are geological fractures where the rocks on either side of the fault move past each other horizontally. This movement is primarily parallel to the strike of the fault, meaning it runs along the length of the fault line. Unlike dip-slip faults where movement is vertical, sidoglidsförkastningar involve little to no vertical displacement.
These faults are classified based on the relative direction of movement. A dextral (or right-lateral) sidoglidsförkastning
Sidoglidsförkastningar are often associated with plate tectonics, particularly at transform plate boundaries where tectonic plates slide
