Sensoralarm is a generic term for an alarm system driven by one or more sensors that monitor environmental or process conditions and generate an alert when predefined conditions are met. A sensoralarm system typically consists of sensors, signal conditioning, a processing unit, and one or more alerting mechanisms. Sensors detect variables such as movement, temperature, smoke, gas concentration, pressure, or vibration. The processing unit applies thresholds, pattern recognition, or rule-based logic to decide whether to raise an alarm. Architectures range from centralized systems that collect data in a control room to distributed or edge-based designs where processing occurs at or near the sensor. Communication methods span wired connections and wireless protocols (for example Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, LoRaWAN, or Modbus). Sensoralarm systems are used in various sectors, including residential and commercial security, fire safety, industrial automation, and environmental monitoring.

Common challenges include reducing false alarms, ensuring reliability during power or network outages, and protecting privacy and security of transmitted data. System maintenance, calibration, and regular testing are essential to ensure accurate detection.
