Seinere is a small, uninhabited island located in the South Pacific Ocean, part of the Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia. The island is situated approximately 30 kilometers northeast of the larger island of Rangiroa and is one of the least visited and least known atolls in the region. Its name derives from the local Polynesian language, where "sein" refers to a type of fish, and "ere" means "island," though the exact etymology is not definitively documented.

Geographically, seinere is a low-lying coral atoll with a lagoon surrounded by a narrow rim of land. The island lacks any permanent infrastructure, fresh water sources, or vegetation beyond sparse mangroves and a few hardy coastal plants. Its lagoon is relatively shallow and features several small islets and sandbars, making it a notable spot for marine life, including turtles, rays, and various tropical fish.
