Data are often collected via continuous monitoring systems with telemetry, or periodic field measurements, and are integrated with hydraulic and geotechnical models.

Analysis and management rely on establishing baseline conditions, tracking trends, and applying thresholds or alarm levels to trigger appropriate actions. A seepage management plan may include increasing drainage, repairing or upgrading filters and cut-off barriers, grouting, or adjusting operation schedules. In some cases, emergency response measures are needed if rapid changes indicate escalating risk.
