Seboreayhtymiin, more commonly known as seborrheic dermatitis, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition. It primarily affects the scalp, face, and chest, areas rich in sebaceous glands. The exact cause is not fully understood, but it is believed to involve an overproduction of sebum, the oily substance secreted by the sebaceous glands, and an overgrowth of a common yeast called Malassezia, which normally lives on the skin.
