Satureret is a Danish adjective and past participle meaning "saturated." It describes a state in which a system has taken in or reached the maximum amount of something that can be contained or expressed under given conditions. The term is used across scientific and technical fields, often to indicate a filled, complete, or non-extendable condition. It can modify both substances and processes, depending on context.

In chemistry and materials science, a solution or a mixture is described as saturated when no more solute can dissolve at a given temperature; adding more solute leaves it undissolved. A saturated solution is at equilibrium with the dissolved and undissolved phases. Saturation also appears in reference to chemical bonds, such as saturated hydrocarbons, which contain only single carbon–carbon bonds.

In nutrition, the term saturated fat is common, referring to fatty acids with no double bonds between carbon atoms. These fats occur in many animal products and some tropical oils. Diet guidelines often associate high intake of saturated fats with increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, though nutritional recommendations vary by country and individual health status.

In physics and engineering, saturation describes a limit in which a material or device cannot respond further to an increase in input. Magnetic cores become saturated under strong magnetic fields, and electronic amplifiers saturate when the output reaches their power supply limits, leading to signal clipping. Saturation is also a consideration in control systems and signal processing when modelling real-world constraints.
