Röntgenülesvõte, commonly known as an X-ray, is a medical imaging technique that uses X-rays to create images of the inside of the body. This non-invasive procedure is widely used for diagnosing a variety of medical conditions. During an X-ray, a small amount of ionizing radiation is passed through the body. Different tissues absorb this radiation to varying degrees. Denser tissues, such as bone, absorb more radiation and appear white on the resulting image, while softer tissues, like muscles and organs, allow more radiation to pass through and appear in shades of gray. Air-filled spaces, such as the lungs, appear black. The absorbed radiation is detected by a special detector, which then generates an image. They are also employed to examine internal organs like the lungs for signs of infection or other abnormalities, and in dentistry to assess teeth and surrounding structures.
