rézvonalon is a Hungarian term that translates to "on copper wire." It refers to communication or data transmission that utilizes traditional copper telephone lines. This technology has been the backbone of telecommunications for decades, enabling voice calls and, later, dial-up and DSL internet access. While it was once the primary method for connecting homes and businesses to networks, rézvonalon is increasingly being superseded by newer technologies.

The infrastructure for rézvonalon consists of a vast network of physical copper cables laid underground or on poles. These cables carry electrical signals that represent voice or data. The performance of rézvonalon, particularly for internet access, is limited by factors such as the distance from the local exchange and the quality of the copper wire.
