Remskivorna, in Swedish, refer to pulleys used in belt drive systems to transmit power between rotating shafts. The term remskiva (singular) and its definite plural remskivorna are commonly used in technical Swedish literature to describe wheel-like elements with a grooved rim around which a belt runs.

A belt looped around a pair of pulleys transfers motion by friction and can change speed and torque according to the relative diameters of the pulleys.
