Pupálás is a traditional Romanian folk practice observed on the eve of Saint George's Day (Sânziene, also known as Drăgaica). This custom involves young women, typically unmarried, who engage in rituals believed to reveal their future husbands or ensure their fertility.

Young women might gather herbs believed to have magical properties, such as mugwort or dill, and perform specific chants or spells.
