Romanias

Romanias is not a standard name for a country or territory. In reference works, the nation is called Romania, and the people are Romanians. The plural "Romanias" is rarely used and may appear only in informal writing or as a mistaken form.

Some uses of the term may indicate a mistaken plural of the country, or refer to fictional or hypothetical entities sharing the name Romania. It is not used to denote an official political unit.

Romania is a country in Southeastern Europe. It is bordered by Ukraine to the north, Moldova to the east, the Black Sea to the southeast, Bulgaria to the south, Serbia to the southwest, and Hungary to the west.

Historically, the territories of Moldavia and Wallachia formed principalities that united in 1859, later gaining independence within the framework of the Kingdom of Romania and expanding after World War I to include Transylvania. The country became a socialist republic after World War II and transitioned to democracy in 1989, joining NATO in 2004 and the European Union in 2007.

Romanian is the official language, a Romance language written in the Latin alphabet. The majority religion is Eastern Orthodox, with Roman Catholics, Protestants, and other groups present.

Economically, Romania has a diversified system with services, industry, and agriculture. It is a member of the European Union and NATO, and it participates in regional and international trade and cultural exchange.
