pultruusionin
Pultrusion is a continuous manufacturing process used to produce composite materials with a constant cross-sectional shape. The name "pultrusion" is a portmanteau of "pull" and "extrusion." In this process, reinforcing fibers, typically glass, carbon, or aramid, are drawn through a resin bath where they are impregnated with a thermoset or thermoplastic resin. After impregnation, the resin-soaked fibers are guided through a pre-forming die to achieve the desired shape, and then passed through a heated die where the resin cures. Finally, the solidified composite profile is pulled continuously from the die by a pulling mechanism.
The resulting pultruded products are known for their high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent corrosion resistance, electrical insulation
