Programmeerimisobjekte, often translated as programming objects, are fundamental concepts in object-oriented programming (OOP). They represent real-world entities or abstract concepts within a software program. An object encapsulates both data, known as attributes or properties, and the behavior or functions that operate on that data, known as methods or operations. For example, in a program simulating a car, a "Car" object might have attributes like color, model, and speed, and methods like startEngine(), accelerate(), and brake().

The concept of objects allows developers to model complex systems in a more organized and manageable way. Instead of dealing with a large set of unrelated functions and data, programming objects group related data and behavior together, promoting modularity and reusability. This modularity makes code easier to understand, debug, and maintain. Objects are typically created from blueprints called classes, which define the structure and behavior that all objects of that type will share.

Object-oriented programming languages like Java, Python, and C++ heavily rely on the use of programming objects. By interacting with these self-contained units, programmers can build sophisticated applications more efficiently. The principles of encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism, which are core to OOP, are all centered around the concept of objects and their interactions. Encapsulation hides internal implementation details, inheritance allows new objects to inherit properties from existing ones, and polymorphism enables objects to be treated as instances of their parent class.
