pppoeconf
pppoeconf is a command-line utility found on Debian-based Linux distributions used for configuring Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connections. PPPoE is a network protocol used to establish a direct connection between a user's computer and an Internet Service Provider (ISP) over an Ethernet link. When a user runs pppoeconf, it typically scans the network interfaces for a PPPoE-compatible modem or router.
After the configuration is complete, pppoeconf can also be used to start, stop, and check the status
