Plasttejp is a general term for adhesive tape whose backing is a plastic film. The tape consists of a thin plastic film coated on one side with an adhesive layer and is produced in a variety of forms for different uses. The most common backing materials are polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyester (PET) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Adhesives include rubber-based, acrylic and hot-melt formulations, selected for factors such as bonding strength, temperature resistance and ease of removal.
