The term planeve combines the word plane with a plural suffix -ves, emphasizing their existence on a flat, surface-bound plane.

Morphology and physiology: A planeve is imagined as flat and lacking thickness, existing entirely within a two-dimensional plane. Its body is flexible, possibly with a segmented edge or membrane that serves as both sensor and organ.
