pistekuvion
Pistekuvion, often translated as "dot pattern" or "dot matrix," refers to a graphical representation composed of individual dots or pixels arranged in a specific configuration to form an image or design. This method of image creation is fundamental to many display technologies and printing processes. In digital displays, screens like those found in televisions, computer monitors, and smartphones are made up of millions of tiny dots, typically arranged in a grid. Each dot, or sub-pixel, can emit light in different colors, and by controlling the intensity of these sub-pixels, a full-color image is rendered.
The concept of pistekuvio is also central to early forms of printing, such as dot matrix printers.
