paritalo
Paritalo, or semi-detached house, is a form of residential housing common in Finland, consisting of two dwelling units joined by a single shared wall. Each unit has its own entrance, yard, and plot, and is designed to be inhabited independently. The two houses are typically built to mirror or closely resemble each other. The concept is distinct from a detached single-family house (omakotitalo), where the home stands alone, and from a terraced or row house (rivitalo) where multiple successive units are connected along shared walls.
