Overbeet is a fictional village in the northern region of Eldoria, a setting used in contemporary fantasy fiction. It sits in a sheltered valley along the Silver Brook and is part of Northwatch County. The community is described as having around 1,000 residents, many of whom work in agriculture, timber, and crafts.

The name is commonly said to derive from a combination of "over," referring to its position on a river terrace, and "beet," reflecting the village's long association with beet crops.

Overbeet was founded in the 12th century as a farming outpost and grew into a market village by the 14th century. It survived regional conflicts and endured a major flood in 1387 that altered the river's course and led to the construction of the Old Bridge. In the 19th century beet production expanded, helping the town diversify its economy.

Geographically, Overbeet lies in a temperate climate zone with fertile loam soils. The river and hillside microclimates support vegetable gardens and orchards.

Today, the economy centers on beet and root-crop cultivation, small-scale timber processing, and artisanal crafts. The village maintains a central square, a cooperative market, and the Old Mill, which remains a working landmark.

Cultural life features the Beet Harvest Festival held each autumn, with parades, regional foods, and craft demonstrations. Notable landmarks include the Old Bridge, the Old Mill, Beechtree House (an 18th-century manor used as a community hall), and several terraced beet fields that remain part of local identity.

Overbeet is connected by a regional road network and ferries on the Silver Brook. The nearest railway is in Northwatch, about 12 kilometers away.
