Opadania is a Polish noun that denotes the act or process of falling or dropping under gravity. It is the plural form of opadanie, which is built from the verb opadać (to fall, to drop) and used to describe various kinds of descent as a phenomenon or a sequence of events. The term appears in everyday language as well as in scientific and technical contexts, with its precise sense shaped by the field of use.

In common speech, opadania often refers to the seasonal fall of leaves or other objects, for example “opadania liści” meaning leaves falling from trees in autumn. In scientific disciplines, opadania commonly describes sedimentation or the settling of particles in fluids (air or water).
