northeastBHmark is a regional benchmarking initiative focused on measuring and comparing performance metrics across healthcare organizations in the northeastern United States. Launched in collaboration with local health systems, hospitals, and public health agencies, the project aims to improve healthcare quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes through data-driven insights.

The benchmarking framework evaluates key performance indicators such as patient safety, clinical effectiveness, operational efficiency, and patient experience. Participating institutions submit standardized data on metrics like readmission rates, infection control, length of stay, and patient satisfaction scores. These metrics are then analyzed and compared against regional benchmarks to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

northeastBHmark is distinct from national benchmarks like those provided by The Joint Commission or CMS because it tailors its focus to the unique healthcare landscape of the northeastern U.S., including variations in population demographics, healthcare policies, and geographic challenges.
