Nodosauridae is a family of armored dinosaurs that lived during the Cretaceous period. These herbivorous reptiles are characterized by their broad bodies, short legs, and extensive bony armor covering their backs, flanks, and sometimes their heads. Unlike their close relatives, ankylosaurs, nodosaurs lacked tail clubs. Instead, some species possessed spikes or plates along their tails.

These dinosaurs likely inhabited a variety of environments, from forests to open plains, and their diet consisted primarily of low-growing vegetation, which they would have consumed using their beaked mouths.
