Diagnosis typically involves a thorough medical history, a physical and neurological examination, and sometimes nerve conduction studies and electromyography (NEMG) to assess nerve and muscle function. Blood tests may be used to identify underlying causes like diabetes or vitamin deficiencies.

Treatment for neuropátiákban focuses on managing the underlying cause, relieving symptoms, and preventing further nerve damage. This can include medications to manage pain, therapies to improve strength and coordination, lifestyle modifications such as dietary changes and exercise, and specific treatments for the underlying disease responsible.
