Mozgató is a Hungarian term derived from mozgatni, meaning to move. In technical usage it functions as both a noun and an adjective to describe devices, mechanisms or systems that produce or control motion. In engineering contexts a mozgató is an actuator: a device that converts energy into mechanical motion to move a load or operate a mechanism.

Actuators come in several main types. Elektromos mozgatók (electric actuators) use electrical energy, often with a motor and drive electronics, to create precise linear or rotary motion. Hidraulikus mozgatók (hydraulic actuators) convert hydraulic fluid pressure into force and are known for high load capacity.
