Mobilskärmar, often referred to as smartphone screens, are the primary visual interface for mobile devices. They are typically constructed from a combination of glass and plastic layers, with the topmost layer serving as a protective shield. Early mobile phone screens were often monochrome and used technologies like LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). These screens were functional but limited in their color reproduction and resolution. The advent of smartphones brought about a demand for more sophisticated displays capable of rendering rich visuals and supporting touch input.

This allows users to interact with their devices through gestures such as tapping, swiping, and pinching. Screen resolution, measured in pixels, determines the sharpness and detail of the images displayed. Higher resolutions result in a crisper viewing experience.
