mikrosekunta
Mikrosekunta, also known as a microsecond, is a unit of time in the International System of Units (SI). It is equal to one millionth of a second, or 0.000001 seconds. The term "mikrosekunta" is derived from the Greek words "mikros," meaning small, and "sekos," meaning interval or division. In the context of computing and electronics, microseconds are commonly used to measure the speed of processors and the timing of digital circuits. For example, the clock speed of a processor is often expressed in gigahertz (GHz), which represents billions of cycles per second. A 3 GHz processor, therefore, completes 3 billion cycles in one second, or approximately 0.333 microseconds per cycle. In scientific and engineering applications, microseconds are used to measure very short time intervals, such as the duration of ultrasonic waves or the response time of electronic components. The symbol for microsecond is "μs."
