Metallstav, commonly translated as metal rod, refers to a straight, elongated piece of metal with a uniform cross-section and a length greater than its diameter. It is used as a structural member, fastener, shaft, dowel, or component in a wide range of industrial and construction applications.

Form and materials: The cross-section is typically round, but square, hexagonal, or flat profiles are also common.
