Menslik refers to a specific type of woodworking joint. It is a variation of the mortise and tenon joint where the tenon is not a solid piece of wood, but rather two or more thinner pieces, often referred to as "leaves." These leaves are shaped to fit into a corresponding mortise, which may be cut to accommodate the multiple components of the menslik tenon.
