mekatoronikusu
Mekatoronikusu is the Japanese term for mechatronics, a multidisciplinary field of engineering that integrates mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and control engineering. The term itself is a portmanteau of "mekaniku" (mechanics) and "elekutoronikusu" (electronics). Mechatronics aims to design and produce products that are more sophisticated, efficient, and automated than those achievable through traditional engineering disciplines alone.
This field emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s, driven by advancements in microprocessors and sensors.
