Conversely, an unsolvable or undecidable problem is one for which no such algorithm exists.

Alan Turing's work in the 1930s established the theoretical limits of computation, proving that certain problems, like the Halting Problem, are undecidable. Turing's proof demonstrated that no general algorithm can solve this problem for all possible program-input pairs.
