lõikeköitmise
Lõikeköitmine, also known as cut binding or knife binding, is a bookbinding technique primarily used for paperback books. In this method, the signatures or folded sheets of paper that make up the book block are gathered and then the fore-edge (the edge opposite the spine) is trimmed to create a clean, flat surface. This trimmed edge is then coated with adhesive, and the cover is wrapped around the book block, adhering to the adhesive-coated fore-edge. The spine is also typically glued to secure the pages.
The process is distinct from other binding methods like saddle stitching, where pages are folded and stapled
