Lukitusaineen, commonly known as threadlocker, is a liquid chemical compound used to secure threaded fasteners, such as nuts and bolts, against loosening due to vibration and shock. It works by filling the microscopic gaps between the mating threads of the fastener and the component it is being attached to. Once cured, typically through anaerobic polymerization (meaning it hardens in the absence of air), it forms a rigid or semi-rigid bond.

There are various formulations of threadlockers, categorized by their strength and viscosity.
